CUTECUTECUTE - Toby Moments from OlgaKay2
I accidentally stayed up until 1:30am making this video, yet my regret count remains at 0. And despite the fact that I made this myself, I still can’t stop watching it omg
TOBY AND OLGA ARE THE CUTEST. FACT.
Can I just say something?
This is Jess Lizama. Mother’s Day, 2011, she came out to her audience about how she has a teenage daughter because she got pregnant at seventeen. Reading the comments on this video is both heart-warming, and heart-breaking. There are so many lovely people telling her that she is brave for coming out and that her daughter, Corrine, is beautiful just like her. But there are also plenty of people telling her she’s a dumb slut for deciding to keep the baby. So many people telling her that she made the wrong decision; so many people telling her that she can’t handle a kid and I want to say something about this:
I knew Corrine is her daughter. It took me a while to clue in, because I wasn’t on Jess’ side of Youtube last Mother’s Day, I was on the Maker side. But I just saw this video this morning and I was bursting with pride. Her and Corrine and Joe and Olga all knew they were going to get seriously hated on for raising a child in that kind of environment, but they also knew that Corrine needed to eventually be revealed. It took a lot of guts for Jess to make this video, and I couldn’t help but grin like an idiot the whole way through.
How could you possibly shoot straight to the assumption that Corrine is being raised wrong after watching this video? She is so loved, it almost brought me to tears. I’ve seen quite a lot of Corrine just from OlgaKay2, and I can see that she is a great person. So much fun, so silly, so full of energy and kind and smart, just like all the people surrounding her. Her mum, her Aunt Olga and Uncle Joe, Toby and Jack and Sean and Cyr and all those great people; she’s just like them.
So fuck you for judging. Jess did what she thought was right. She decided that she could handle a baby at seventeen. She moved out after graduating from school a year early and earning a scholorship, and raised Corrine just as well as any other mother. Even better, apparently, because Corrine is a beautiful person already. Bless you, Jess. I wish you and your daughter and all of your lovely friends an eternity of happiness. I respect you all more than anything else in the world, especially now that I know you’re a great mommy <3
